11 Favorite Moments on the World Race

November 11th is World Race Day! 11/11. The race has been a lot of different things so far. It has been hard, easy, draining, rewarding, exhausting, relaxing, fun, adventure, overwhelming, joyous. The race has been amazing and I am so blessed to be on it. In honor of World Race Day here are several list of 11 things from the race. 

 

11 favorite moments on the Race.

1. Dance party tuk-tuk rides with Becca. (Thailand)
2. Getting to sit and pray with/for Amrutama in the slum. (India)
3. Giving little nuggets baths from a well every morning. (Cambodia)
4. Teaching the banana song to slum kids. (Cambodia)
5. Playing soccer in a class room with Indian boys. (Nepal)
6. Seeing God connect every country through the people we meet. (All)
7. Flooding a home with soapy water and shoveling the water back out with a dust pan. (Cambodia)
8. Scrapping dirt off of a wall for hours leaving my face, hands, and arms black.
9. Getting a Muay Thai boxing lesson from the owner of a Muay Thai gym. (Thailand)
10. Riding an elephant/feeding him. (Thailand) (Life dream)
11. Getting to sing, dance, love on kids in a children’s home. (Malaysia)

 

11 things I’ve learned on the Race

1. Community living is hard but rewarding.
2. Tarantulas taste a lot like teriyaki chicken.
3. Prayer really does work.
4. I cannot simply give out of my flesh. I have to give out of the overflow of my time with Jesus.
5. The Lord speaks to me! The Lord loves me!
6. I do not need as much as I have always thought I did.
7. If you are willing, the Lord will use you.
8. If it smells alright, wear it.
9. Always carry toilet paper or wipes with you. Always.
10. Your outfit does not always have to match. You will live if you wear black and navy or black and brown together. (It is not that serious)
11. The world needs our help. The world needs more people to share the Love of Jesus!

11 ways to pray for me.

1. Pray that I lose myself in these remaining 6 months. More of Him less of me!
2. Pray that I always say yes!
3. Pray that I find my passions.
4. Pray that I love better than I have.
5. Pray that a stronger desire for the Lord grows in me.
6. Pray that I put others above myself.
7. Pray that I figure out the Lord’s plan for my future.
8. Pray that I stay obedient to the Lord.
9. Pray that mine and Ricky’s relationship grows stronger in the Lord.
10. Pray that I give all that I have in the next 6 months.
11. Pray for all the places and people I have met and will meet. That they may come to know the Lord and that their lives may be

Thank you so much for your continuous prayer and support! The World Race has been so many things for me. The best part has been the Lord teaching me about His love for me!
