Going on the World Race, I gave up “my life” for a year. I gave up my family, financial security, and future plans. It gave me a little taste of what the disciples must have felt like when Jesus called them to follow Him.
It's been a life- altering year. My eyes have been opened to so much injustice, poverty, and pain. I have held dying babies, I have ministered to women and children enslaved in sex trafficking, I have played with starving orphans, I have prayed for parents infected with AIDS, I have shared the gospel with people that have never heard. Every person and every story has broken my heart in a new way.
My entire life is forever changed.
I know that, God hasn't opened my eyes to all of this so I could go back to America and live a “normal” life. All the work He has done through me and in me was to prepare me for something greater. I know that He has called me to be a light in the darkness, to bring hope to the hopeless, and to love on the unlovable.
God revealed to me that as amazing as the World Race has been, it's only the first step in the journey He has me on. I might be going against what the world says I should be doing and I'll probably never have the American dream, but God has better plans for me!
So here's the scoop, the 411, the low-down, the buzz, the whatever you want to call it…
I will be moving to Gainesville, Georgia to work for Adventures in Missions through their Center for Global Action program!
What does that look like?
I will be living in community, working at the Adventures in Missions office, attending classes on discipleship and leadership, and serving on the mission field.
When do you start?
I will return home from the World Race in August and start CGA in September! That leaves me with just 1 month for family, friends, fundraising, and tex-mex!
How long is the program?
I have made a 1 year commitment to CGA and we will see where God leads me from there!
What can I do to help?
I have been so blessed to be able to fulfill my call as a missionary through your support! I stand in awe of how God provided my needs, through you, for the World Race. I cannot thank you enough for what you have done!
In order to take the next step in this journey, I will need to continue asking for financial support. I know that God will, once again, provide every penny through your faithfulness
How much support do you need?
I will need a minimum of $300 a month to pay for housing, program costs, and to send me back out onto the mission field. That's only $3,600 for the entire year!
I would also like to raise an extra $200-$300 a month to pay for food and other necessities.
That would come out to $7,200 to support me for a year of mission work!
So again, would you prayerfully consider supporting me as I continue in the call God has placed on my life?
