I just finished up my 3'rd month on the World Race, in Viet Nam.
A piece of my heart is staying with these people.

I was surprised I fell in love with this country like I did. I haven't really felt drawn to Asian countries, but that was when I was living in my "Pre-Race bubble". The people here are so kind and welcoming. It was such a blessing to do life with them for a month.
Instant friendships seemed to pop up every where!

It broke my heart to see the bondage looming over the people of Viet Nam by false gods. People are being so sheltered from the Truth, and it was really intimidating to walk into a closed country. We discovered, really fast, that the authorities did not want us proclaiming the gospel. It was frustrating not to speak Truth over people, but the Lord used it to teach me a lot.
We didn't need to proclaim the gospel with our mouths, for God to move in Viet Nam. He was just calling us to walk the gospel out. So, we followed in the footsteps of Christ and poured out His love through our actions.

Being a missionary is a mindset. It is constantly choosing to place others before yourself. Missional living is having a servant mentality and bearing one another's burdens.
"HAVE THIS MIND AMONG YOURSELVES, ACCORDING TO THAT WHICH YOU HAVE RECEIVED IN CHRIST JESUS, WHO, THOUGH HE WAS IN THE FORM OF GOD, DID NOT COUNT EQUALITY WITH GOD AS A THING TO BE GRASPED, BUT EMPTIED HIMSELF BY TAKING THE FORM OF A SERVANT, BEING BORN IN THE LIKENESS OF MEN." – PHILIPPIANS 2:5-7
Here are some pictures from the different ministries we did this month:
We worked with 2 orphanages and spent a lot of time with special needs children.

We spent time with the sweetest elderly women in Viet Nam! "Viet Nam # 1 ;)"

We did prayer walks throughout the city.

We formed friendships with the deaf staff at the Bread of Life Cafe. It's amazing the relationships Christ can build, without communicating a single word to one another.

We sang in Vietnamese church.

We had a killer sleep over with about 10 pre-teen girls.

Mission work is God's work. God's message is love. So, live it out, where ever you are!
