So, what is something that stresses me out to no end? Money.
What is Satan going to use to stress me out about The World Race? Finances, of course!
I’m a manager at a Christian bookstore. Last week, before we opened the store, I was praying/complaining to God about funding and how I’ve been discouraged lately. “God, You said to ask…so this is me asking..I have been way too stressed out about all of this..So, You just provide my needs for this trip. I pray that I just get some encouragement today and something to keep me going!”
Well, an hour later we opened the store. One of my favorite customers walked in and asked what was going on in my life. I began to share with her how I was going on The World Race and how God had been moving in my life lately. She said, “I knew I saw something in you! That is SO funny you should mention that, because my church and I have been praying for God to show us how we could support foreign missions. Actually, I was just talking with someone about it this morning!”…Then she went on to tell me how her church would love to sow a seed into my ministry and support me! I am now going to speak at her church Sunday, January 29th! How awesome is that?! I was praying for God to provide…They were praying for God to bring them someone to provide for…And we just so happened to cross paths at that perfect moment.
GOD IS AMAZING!
Not to mention…Later that day, I had several other people tell me they wanted to support me. AND sold 41 of the 50 shirts I ordered!! GOD IS AMAZING!
As if that wasn’t enough…
Today, I was talking to someone about how I needed a laptop to bring with me. My old one died and I was not looking forward to dishing out money on a new one…There I was again, complaining about all this stuff I need to buy and all this money and blah blah blah…
Him: “You need a laptop?…Like a net book?”
Me: “Yea, I’m probably going to get something like that, because it’s lighter to carry.”
Him: “Okay, I have one and I’m going to give it to you.”
Me: “What?! Are you serious?! GOD IS AMAZING!"
I knew that God was going to use The World Race to strengthen my faith in Him, but I definitely wasn’t expecting it to happen so soon! Satan is trying to detour me and stress me out every way he knows how, but one by one God keeps casting all of my worries away. It’s an amazing feeling knowing that if God called me to this, and I firmly believe He did, that He is going to take care of everything and I don’t need to stress.
