Our contact took us to a mountain today where we could pray over the city. To get there we had to smush 29 of us onto a bus, that was already full of people. We stood uncomfortably close to one another, as the bus weaved in and out of traffic. I was trying to keep my balance while holding onto my backpack and water bottle.

I looked down below me and saw a woman staring up at me. She motioned that she was thirsty and wanted some of my water. Then, she pulled out her own personal bottle and stuck it up towards me. I tried pouring some of my water into her bottle, but it would just spill every where. One of my squadmates, Tyler Schipper, tried pouring it for me, but the bus was too unstable. We gave up and she drank the 2 little sips that made it into her bottle.

A couple minutes later, I looked back down to find her longingly staring at my water bottle. It broke my heart. I handed her my water bottle and tried to tell her to keep it. She got such a joyful look on her face as she grabbed the bottle. She stuck a straw into it and sipped some of the water out, before handing the bottle back to me. I gently pushed it back towards her and she realized that I wanted her to keep it. She looked at me with grateful eyes and put the bottle into her bag.

When we reached our destination, I asked our contact if I could shake the woman's hand. We have to be sensitive about cultural norms on the race. I was so excited when he told me it was okay. I turned to her, reached out my hand, and smiled. She grabbed my hand with both of her hands and beamed from ear to ear. I will never forget the look in her eyes.

While communication barries and the law restricted me from sharing the gospel with her, I pray she learns of the living water. I couldn't help but think of the woman at the well. Lord, fill your daughter up!

It really convicted me that all that woman wanted was water. In America, I have access to water 24/7. We take so much for granted that we don't even realize! It really opened my eyes, again, to how blessed I am.

By the way, there was a store at the bottom of the mountain, where I could buy water! I was so excited that the Lord provided me with a place to
purchase some before our long hike!
Just then, Heith handed me a bottle of water and said, "I paid for it."
God is good!

If you feel led to support me, I still need $3,190 by March 1'st to stay on the field. Click "support me"on the left for more information on how! Thank you and God bless!
