…Cuz an African church dance party don't stop!

One of the first things we noticed about church in Africa was the way they worship. It is the most free, passionate, and spirit-filled worship that I have ever experienced.

It was, also, the first time on the race that we haven't been asked to lead the worship service. I can see why….

The best thing I can use to describe it is, "zumba class with Jesus."

Every one sings their hearts out, and dances until they can't stand anymore. You see people running around the church while pumping chairs up and down over their heads. You see a group of people dancing in ways you wish you could move! You hear african tribal calls being shouted over the music. It's beautiful.

I can't always understand what they are saying, but it's beautiful to know who they are singing it to.

There's just something so incredible about how the spirit flows through the church services here.

The other night, I was praying for God to move in a new way, before going up to preach. I proceeded to preach the most spirit-saturated message I have ever uttered. I was doing crazy things like shouting and tearing up behind the pulpit. As I spoke the words, they pierced my heart even more passionately. Afterwards, most of the church came up for prayer and I felt all tingly and emotional.

When you ask God to move, you better be ready for it.

I am so thankful that I have had the opportunity to worship like this. It's crazy what God is doing around the world!
