Dear family, friends, and strangers reading Morgan’s blog,
This blog was not written by Morgan, but by the members of her team. We, Team Centurion, have been with her from day one of the World Race. We have seen God move in Morgan’s life, and we have seen God use her to build his Kingdom in Serbia, Romania, and Bulgaria. It has been an honor to watch Morgan serving the Lord, and we wanted to take this opportunity to share some of what we have seen with you.
Catie: Morgan has such a passion for people, and has been gifted with the ability to see people where they are at and show them compassion, kindness, and love. I feel very blessed to be able to watch her grow in these gifts and watch the Lord use her to speak truth into people’s lives. One of the places I’ve been able to see this is on our team. She loves listening to her teammates when they are struggling with something, if there is something going on back home, if they need help processing what we saw in ministry that day, or if someone is just missing home. Morgan is there for us and she loves us all so well. Morgan is so full of joy and laughter and can bring joy into any situation. She loves to laugh and loves seeing other people laugh and be filled with joy.
Crystal, our squad leader: Morgy. I don’t think I have gone a day without laughing when I am around this woman. She is a seventy year old woman, in the body of a twenty year old, with the heart of a child. She carries wisdom, and joy. I have never seen someone love kids as well as she does. She embraces them, loves them, and makes their hearts burst with laughter. Her heart is a beautiful one. The Lord is going to continue to move through her in some awesome ways over the next several months.
Faith: Morgan brings so much joy to our team. Her willingness to serve others at all times and her boldness in sharing the Gospel are both things that she excels in. She is quick to love and seeks to see people through the eyes of the Father. Morgan is so clearly a vessel of the Holy Spirit and shares that with everyone around her. Morgan has a gift of making the people around her feel loved and cared for. She has a passion for people and for making sure that they feel loved. She brings so much joy to our team both through her goofiness, but also through how well she loves the people around her.
Jon: There aren’t words to describe how much I have enjoyed having Morgan on my team. When you’re around Morgan, it is impossible to not be happy. She brings light and joy into every place and situation that she walks in to. Morgan has been a source of therapeutic laughter for me throughout The Race and I don’t know where I would be without the happiness she brings! I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who has such a genuine love for every being on this planet as much as Morgan, and that is manifested in every ministry opportunity we’ve had in the last 3 months.
Molly: Morgan has the most incredible spirit, always bringing fun and laughter to our team. She is always ready to lighten the mood through her accents and grandma-like tendencies, but she brings equal lift through her heart for the Lord. I have seen Morgan grow the most in her boldness over the last three months. She does not shy away from pushing our team to grow, even when giving that feedback is difficult. When we are doing ministry, she is always ready to pray bold prayers and ask bold questions. Just this past week, I had the honor of hearing her explain the gospel to a woman in prostitution, and I was blown away by her boldness and ability to speak truth in a loving way. Morgan is so full of joy, and I am so incredibly grateful that God placed us on the same team!
Patricia: Morgan personifies what it means to have “the joy of the Lord as your strength”. Everyday she chooses to look through the challenging, recognizing it, and still choosing to rely on Jesus to be her inner peace and joy. Morgan’s heart for the elderly is truly inspiring, and this past month in particular I have had the pleasure of seeing her love on them, and seeing their sweet faces melt under her love. These past few months spent with her, I have seen her instantly light up rooms, wrap her arms around beautiful children, tenderly hold elderly hands, smile at countless people, and share Jesus with everyone that she comes into contact with. I am so incredibly blessed to call Morgan a friend, confidant, and sister. Your support for her on this journey has allowed her to move mountains for the Lord.
Zach: Wow! This woman of God is such a blessing in my life. She has become the sister I never had within the last three months. The joy and laughter that she carries permeates into every conversation she is a part of. The room is always brighter when she is in it, however, joy and laughter aren’t the only thing that Morgan brings to the table. Perhaps her most prevalent quality is that of desiring relationships and wanting to know and love people. Morgan is always wanting to know more about everyone that she comes into contact with. She challenges everyone around her to be better and closer to God despite possible awkward or tense situations. It has been such an honor to be on a team with Morgan the last three months. She has taught me more than I can explain by just being her genuine, loving, laughing self.
Thank you to each person who has supported Morgan on this journey through prayer, encouragement, and donations. Our team would be lacking without Morgan’s presence. She still has $971 to raise before the final financial deadline, November 30. We ask that you would pray and consider donating to help her reach the final financial deadline.
Thank you so much for praying for and supporting our team, through sending Morgan!
With gratitude,
Team Centurion
