“Hello there! Looking to find more about Morgan White as a person? Congratulations! You came to the right place.

I recently graduated from Capital University with degrees in both Art Therapy and Psychology, and I’m still not exactly sure what I want to do with that (and that’s okay). I spent three years as a Resident Assistant, two years as a camp counselor, and one year as my sorority’s president (Pi Phi E, you’re the only one for me!). Jesus, laughing, dancing, and running around with my pals are just a few of my favorite things. My spirit animal would be somewhere along the lines of Betty White and an otter (but not a hybrid of the two…that would just be weird). Partially raw chicken made me sick my sophomore year of high school, and I haven’t (intentionally) eaten it since. The only kind of meat I eat now is seafood, so I guess that escalated quickly. I’m probably the fourth most awkward person you’ll meet, but we’ll pretend it’s endearing and move on. If I had to be too hot or too cold for the rest of my life, I would rather be too hot. I’m really good at untying knots, especially if it’s a knot in a necklace I love and want to wear very badly. I’ve never played Monopoly, broken a bone, or ridden a roller coaster. One of those is a lie. Can you guess which one? My most recurring dream involves tornadoes, but not to worry because I always manage to find a cellar.

Hopefully you now have a better idea of who I am (but probably not because that was mostly just a hodgepodge of random information. But what else are you supposed to talk about in an About Me, amiright?) Regardless, I am so very excited to be going on the World Race in August, and I would absolutely love to share with you the experiences I gather while on it. Feel free to subscribe to my blog if you would like to be kept in the loop of where I am and what I’m doing this next year!”—PreRace Morgan

. . .

Hi, me again. Just thought I would update y’all (yes, I use the word “y’all” now. Ugh), since some of these things have changed! I am currently in my ninth month of the Race, which means I’m in Thailand. My parents come for PVT (Parent Vision Trip) to join me for five days of ministry in just a couple of days. WOW, that’s wild. I’m still not really sure what I’m doing when I come back to the states, but I’m still okay with that. MAJOR UPDATE: I eat all kinds of meat now! Read my blog entitled When God Asks You To Eat The Chicken to find out what He taught me through that. Okay, so I guess a lot of those random facts are still pretty true, but let’s talk about Race Morgan a little more. The Lord has given me such a love for the Old Testament, and I really did not see that coming. My favorite month thus far has also been the month I had zero access to wifi (Botswana). I have given seven stick and poke tattoos to my squad mates (I only messed up one), and I delivered two baby crocs straight from the shell. I’ve been my team’s treasurer for the past 4.5 months. The Race has made me realize how much I love Ohio. One of my favorite moments on the Race so far was when I got to share the Gospel with a woman in prostitution in Bulgaria—it was one of the most organic moments of my Race. I once bought a month’s worth of food for 15 people in one trip to the grocery…it took two hours and six shopping carts. I have met so many incredible people who have encouraged and loved me so well. Race life is good, guys. Thanks for being interested.
