“Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, And into His courts with praise. Be thankful to Him, and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.” –Psalm 100:4-5

On this day of thanks, when everyone is thinking of food, family and the crazy shopping experiences; I am thinking back on all that God has done for me. I am so thankful for the life that God has blessed me with!

First and foremost, I am thankful for God’s grace and mercy that covers me every day! I am thankful for this amazing opportunity God has given me, and even more so for trusting me to be a faithful disciple. I am thankful for my World Race family that has been placed in my life to give my comfort and encouragement when this gets a little scary. I am thankful for all of the support I have received from my friends, family, and even people I don’t know that God has placed in my path. Thankful doesn’t even seem like a word big enough to express the gratitude I have for all that God has placed in my life.

It is so easy to be thankful for what I already have, but today I am also giving Him praise. Praise is not for what I have, but for what I cannot see yet. Praise for the spiritual growth I know I will be gaining. Praise for the miracles that I will witness on the mission field. Praise for the relationships and bonds that will be made on my squad. Praise for being fully funded for this ministry.

Thanksgiving and Praise are what this day is all about.

I don’t just want to think about all God has done though, or what He is going to do. I want to just take a second to Glorify His name for who He is!

It’s not about what you can do or what you will do God. It is because you are the one that knows me better than I know myself. You know every word I speak, thought I have, and move I will make. Knowing all of me and loving me no matter what. That is who you are. The one that truly loves me! That is what I am thankful for.
