On Tuesday night we had our first World Race prayer conference call. The vision was to pray together for the countries we are going to, the people we will be working with and the World Race participants. To be honest I didn’t really want to attend the call, I was with Alaina, my best friend and we were enjoying some much coveted time together. She lives in Seattle so our visits are few and far between.
Somewhere in the middle of the call God drastically changed my attitude. Most of our other conference calls have been about important details, do we need camping stoves, what ministries we will be involved with, how to write a captivating blog, etc. During this call the reality of what I’m doing next year traveled the sometimes insurmountable 18 inch gap between my head and my heart. I was struck by the sheer joy of participating in something so much bigger then my self!
Last week the call was just for our team but next week it’s for everyone who wants to pray with us for the World Race, I would LOVE to have some of you join the call!
Tuesday, December 26th (the day after Christmas) at 6:00 pm Pacific.
Our focus will be on these three things.
- Our trip next year and everything concerning it.
- The world today, especially the countries we will be working in.
- The financial status of some of my WR teammates who need more support to go on the race.

Also, Adventures in Missions has asked each of us to find 15 people to pray for us everyday. Right now I have 7 people, so I’m looking for 8 more people to commit to praying for me every day. Thanks for partnering with me in this; I believe that prayer makes all the difference in the world!
