Debrief this month was a treat! It was so nice to have a rest after an emotionally intense month. We went to Kosamet, Thailand and enjoyed life on a beautiful tropical island.

I’m not lying in my e-mail address when I say I love the ocean! The beach is one of my favorite places and it’s one of the things that I have missed the most this year. I was sad to miss beach days with friends this summer, but I felt so blessed that God gave me a few days to enjoy the sand and the water, in Thailand. Yesterday we played 4 hours of volleyball, I though I was in heaven. Play hard, take a break and swim, play some more, repeat!

From Left to right this is Katie, me, Emilie and Joy. I enjoyed lots of great girl time this week. One thing I’ve been realizing lately is just how deeply I love all my friends on the race. I don’t know how I am going to handle leaving them all in November.

At night we would watch the fire dancing show then do some dancing of our own!

Talia, Katie and Annie all shaking their groove thing!
A bunch of us dancing like crazy!

Where I spent my days, attempting to tan but
acquiring a burn. Mom, I promise I wore sunscreen.

We rode a speed boat to and from the island. This is Karen, me, Tana and Amanda on the way to paradise. Tana and I had a great time rooming together, even though our room was infested with ants!

Jimmy, Stacy and Katie at breakfast, the restaurant we pretty much lived at was right on the beach!

Worship in one of the best places ever.

One final look back as we spead away this morning. I leave for Cambodia at 6 am tomorrow. We will spend a few days touring Phnom Phen, then it’s off to work with a student ministry in Badambong. Pray for focus, only 80 days left, and I don’t want to waste a second of what God has for me this year.
