After a 14 hour long, grueling, bumpy, loud, bus ride, I’m back in Bangkok, Thailand before flying to Hong Kong tomorrow. One of the highlights of this month has been the relationships with students in my Bible study. Only 30 years ago 30% of Cambodians were killed in a massive genocide. After years of war the country is just beginning to rebuild. The college students I got to work with are at the beginning of the post war generation, they are the upcoming leaders of their country (about 75% of Cambodians are under the age of 30.) (Pilot, one of my favorite students, and me) I’m in awe of the great opportunities God has given me, in the last month, I’ve visited Vietnam, eaten a spider and rode on an elephant around the ancient temples where the Tomb Raider movies were filmed. Despite all this, I wrestled a lot this month with both internal thoughts and the external injustices I continue to encounter. (With Emilie, chilling on the elephant) Quick Support Update China, Here I Come Later this week I will be headed from Hong Kong, into an undisclosed location in mainland China. Due to the fact that China is a closed country I can not share what type of ministry I am doing or where I am going. Because I love receiving e-mail from you, I have set up a new account for my time in China. Any e-mail account that I open will be completely accessible to the Chinese government, who is monitoring groups of Americans even more closely then usual because of the 2008 Olympics. Please follow these instructions if you wish to e-mail me… Prayer Request Pray that God will help me finish strong in China and guide me thought all the upcoming changes. (This picture is of a headless statue, I watched as many people bowed before the idol.) (a woman making an offering to one of the many Hindu statues at Angor Wat)
