I have some big news! A couple of days ago I got an email from my mobilizer explaining that Adventures in Missions has decided not to send my route (route 5) in July 2015. Their reasons are because they are hoping to send some bigger squads on their other routes and mine had the least number of participants so far. After much prayer and consideration, I have decided to switch to the July 2015 Route 2.
I have chosen this route for a variety of reasons. First, I have begun to have a heart for China. Several people I know have gone there for learning purposes and to share the Gospel. The stories I have heard them tell have broken my heart. I hope to be able to share the hope I have with these people in desperate need of a Savior.
Second, I have been regretting the fact that I was not going to be spending any time in Europe with the route I was going on, and with Route 2 I will! The country of Europe has an extremely hard heart toward Jesus and I hope to be able to share with them about what a forgiving and merciful God we have.
The new countries I will be traveling to starting in July are China, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Romania, Serbia, Albania, Cambodia, Uganda, Rwanda, and Ethiopia. I hope you will continue being a part of my journey through prayer and financial support as I begin getting ready to head to training camp and then departure (eeek!). It is hard to believe that I will be leaving in about 3 months and I couldn’t be more excited (or scared).
ALSO, many of you have helped me meet my first fundraising goal! I am so excited to be that much closer to being able to leave, however; I still have a lot of money to raise! Please consider supporting me prayerfully and/or financially while I try to raise the remainder of the money. If you know anyone who has a heart for taking the Gospel to the nations and would like to be a part of my team financially then please let me know!
P.S. Happy PI DAY
