Hello Friends! I thought I would make a post on WHY I am going on this race and give some more information about me and the race itself!
So first things first: THE WORLD RACE GAP YEAR. It is a nine-month mission trip to three different countries: Balkans, Philippines, and South Africa!It is an intensive discipleship program designed to launch my generation into our specific kingdom calling. Through the World Race, teams serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages and hospitals, minister to women and children affected by human trafficking, and bring the restorative hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. AMAZING, RIGHT?
I heard about this mission trip very recently and as soon as I was told about it, I rushed home and applied. Something in my heart (Jesus) told me I needed to at least apply and see what happens. A few days later I received an interview, and a couple weeks after that I was ACCEPTED!! God has showed me that this is something I need to do, and since I love caring for others and spreading God’s word, what could be better?
Although this is such a huge dream come true, there is a tiny setback… I have to raise around 14,000 by august. Although that is a lot of money, i believe that God will provide.
