I have confession. I love Nancy Drew books. I have almost all of them in my closet at home. I still search for the few I still need every time I go to a flea market or yard sale.
While being on the race I have read more than I thought I would. My best friend bought me nook, and it has been a life saver. I can get the newspaper, latest magazines, and books that are out when I connect to the internet. So I wanted to share with you the top books I have read while on the race.
I also have been recently inspired to read and write more. I have been reading blogs online like crazy. My favorite has been one by Stephanie May called the “Lipstick Gospel” and one by her roommate called “Color Me Captivated” I have spent hours the past few weeks reading their blogs. They have been very inspiring.
I have decided to take on a new challenge, reading more. Reading the classics, the ones that were required in school, see I always just skimmed spark notes and called it a day. Time to do things right! I am starting with the “The Great Gatspy” by F. Scott Fitzgerald.Wish me luck! I have told myself I can not watch the movie, until I read the book.

So my top books I have read so far:
“Redeeming Love” Francine Rivers
*Greatest love story I have ever read. Taught me just how much Christ loves me.
“Mark of the Lion Series” Francine Rivers
*A great love story that even a guy would enjoy.
“Follow Me” David Platt
*About become a disciple.
“Cold Tangerines” Shauna Niequist
*Finished two days ago, loved it! About life and the crap that happens.
“Kisses From Katie” Katie Davis

*Motivating, and encouraging in so many ways! Katie Davis is a missionary in Uganda and a mother of fourteen girls.
"Captivating" John & Stasi Eldredge
*Helped me learn a great deal about myself and who I am in Christ.
On my list to read:
“Bittersweet” Shauna Niequist
“Little Women” Louisa May Alcott
“Bread & Wine” Shauna Niequist
“The Scarlet Thread” Francine Rivers
“Pride & Prejudice” Jane Austin
So there are a mix of books in this short list, some for pleasure, some for learning. So I ask what are some of your favorite books to read?
“Live the full life of the mind, exhilarated by new ideas, intoxicated by the romance of the unusual”
-Ernest Hemingway
