What happened in Malaysia?

So I realized my blogs were about my spiritual journey, which is great, yet I forgot to inform you on our ministry and what we did in Malaysia. It is a little hard to explain so here it goes.
1st part of the month- Sungi Pengani a small town outside of Penang where we worked with an Indian church, where we visited the local hospital and got to pray for people. We also performed a Christmas dance with the members of the church in a Christmas program in the city.
2nd- We moved in to the city of Penang, Malaysia. There we worked with two other World Race teams from our squad at a homeless shelter called Kawan (friends). We lived above Kawan and got to serve breakfast and lunch Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We met some awesome people! It was there in Penang we had a wonderful Christmas, where our contact hosted all of us in his home were we ate so much food, we were all in food comas that night.

* On our off day my team decided to go hiking and check out the tourist spot called Monkey beach. We enjoyed a beautiful hike to the beach were we met quite a few frisky monkeys who tried to steal our things and attack us. A few of my teammates kept going to the light house which was over one more little mountain, yet my teammate Lauren and I stayed back to relax and go swimming. Little did I know that something awesome would happen. I was swimming and I met a young woman named Iman from Saudi Arabia. We began to have a conversation about America and Saudi Arabia. She was fully clothed with a hijab and full body suit. She had sweet ray bans on. I asked her if she was here for holiday, she said she was. She asked why I was here in Malaysia. I told her I was Christian and about the World Race, and she told me about her religion, Islam. Some how we got on the topic of Christmas, which was two days away. She directly asked me what is Christmas and what do Christians celebrate. She had never heard about why we celebrate Christmas, is that amazing or what!! I never would have guessed I would meet someone who didn't know about Christmas. I got to fully explain who Jesus was and that he came to this earth for us. She was so engaged in the conversation asking questions about Jesus. We talked for about 30 minutes, while Lauren got intercede from afar. I was so blessed to meet Iman that day. The whole time I was talking to her I saw her father on the beach with her family watching us pretty intently. I was a little nervous because it is illegal in Malaysia to evangelize to Muslims. He just watched us for a while and when we were leaving, I waved goodbye to her and her Dad looked at me and genuinely smiled as also waved goodbye. It was the best day I have had in a long time. I got to hike, swim, and share Jesus. God knew I was going to meet Iman that day, He knew His name would be glorified, He knew it was illegal for me to talk to her about His son, He protected me, and He opened the heart of Iman and hopefully her father as well to the good news.

Please pray for Iman, that God keeps opening her heart to the truth. That she begins to seeks God and His love for her.
