Swaziland is certainly a month to remember! Check out our day to day journey!

2/8/18 – arrived in Swaziland, met our hosts and went to Nando’s for dinner – so delicious!

2/9/18 – met the girls at the Hosea’s Heart today, had a dance party, and played some volleyball over the fence with them!

2/10/18 – went to a nice breakfast for our host’s birthday and made her a cake with a goldfish on it.

2/11/18 – went to Liberty Community for church and then some volunteers from Hosea’s Heart came over and played games!

2/12/18 – woke up with my fave swollen this morning – we think the culprit was mangos… also made invitations for street night! (“Street night” is where girls on the streets at night are invited to a dance party/meal/games and speakers come to speak into the lives of these women and encourage them!)

2/13/18 – face still swollen… so hung out at home with my squad leader all day and watched movies and played games! Ended up being a sweet time with her since I couldn’t go to ministry.

2/14/18 – woke up to cupcakes from our host for V-Day and went to the doctor this morning and got a shot for the allergic reaction. Went to the girls home and they all asked how my face was doing – which was so sweet because they hadn’t seen me in a few days.

2/15/18 – went to the new land that Hosea’s Heart has bought to build more houses for more girls to live with them. Also went to the girls house and learned new card games and hung out! And dance party again.

2/16/18 – went and did our laundry at a house in an actually washing machine!! Tonight some of us went out to pass out invitations for street night!

2/17/18 – went on a safari today and saw lions, elephants, rhinos, and all kinds of animals!

2/18/18 – into early this morning was street night. My team and I stayed at the girls house all night to pray for street night while it was going on and it was the most incredible time. The girls hold a lot of power in them.

2/19/18 – went to our host’s house to do a debrief of street night and heard that a couple of woman got saved and a total of 27 came! That means 27 woman not having to sell themselves for $5 in hopes to have a money for a meal last night.

2/20/18 – had the opportunity to lead a Bible Study at the girls home today so we went through the Gospel and tried to ask good critical questions about it! One question was: “if Adam and Eve were the only 2 people God created, how are there so many now?”…if you have any questions like this please feel free to comment or message me!

2/21/18 – logistics day!!! Haley and I worked to find transportation and a debrief location for the squad.

2/22/18 – worked on fundraising videos for Hosea’s Heart and hung out with the girls today! I sure will miss the dance parties, card games, and talks.

2/23/18 – helped paint one of the new houses on the land today! And wore my bucket hit to the girls home upon request! They loved it.

2/24/18 – slept over at the girls house last night where we surprised them with pizza, ice cream and soda and stayed up to 3am watching movies!!! Later in the day we went out to dinner with the Hosea’s Heart staff and saw Black Panther!

2/25/18 – went to church with the girls today where I thought the translator and the pastor had switched roles and we had one passionate translator. This day changed my view on spiritual warfare.

2/26/18 – went to a Big Games Park with the girls and hiked execution rock! We had great conversations with the girls and saw zebras and baby warthogs!

2/27/18 – today while at the girls home – Bengi (my five year old boyfriend) wanted to marry me while one of the girls was painting my toes, so he borrowed my friends ring, proposed, gave me a long hug to seal the deal, and started refer to me as “wife”.

2/28/18 – in Swaziland, water gets dumped on you for your birthday so I got soaked when we went to the girls house and they did a talent show for us, made us dinner, had cake, and prayed for us. Tonight was the night we said goodbye – hardest goodbye yet.

3/1/18 – cleaned the house, went to a Mexican restaurant that served everything but Mexican for lunch and then got dropped off with the other teams at LDW location (leadership development training).

3/2/18 – hung out with friends from the squad that we didn’t get the chance to most of the month because we weren’t with them and tried to rest.

3/3/18 – had GNO tonight! And our hosts from Hosea’s Heart came!! It was such a sweet time at the most beautiful place to eat! And on the way home our car broke down so that was great. We also celebrated our squad leaders tonight since it was our last night with them.

3/4/18 – our hosts from Hosea’s Heart came to say goodbye to us this morning with muffins, letters, and prayer. It was so sweet and made it even harder t say goodbye. But hoping it was just a see you later.

3/5/18 – rode an overnight bus to Jeffery’s Bay, South Africa where our ministry with Global Leadership Academy is! Excited to serve here and see what the Lord has in store for us!

Thank you for continuing to follow this journey! This past month in Swaziland was unforgettable and I can’t wait to see what else the Lord has for us and how we can bring His Kingdom to earth moving forward!

There are still a couple of people that still need funding to stay on the race. They are a crucial part of our squad and I would like to ask you to prayerfully consider donating to them whether it is $10 or $100. One way you can support me on the Race is by supporting them because they truly are a tangible blessing to me and have encouraged me while on this journey. They have all stood by me when I needed it most! You can donate at:
