So the
past few days have consisted of malaria, typhoid, and other parasites..which
equals no fun! It has officially felt like we are in Africa! Malaria has taken
its course in 8 people so far that are serving here in Busia (including myself)
and there has been one case of typhoid.
So the
past couple days have consisted of Sarah and I lying on our mattresses
side-by-side with our shared mosquito net covering us, entertaining ourselves
by reading (when we haven’t had a headache) or watching movies through a set of
shared earphones.
Today,
however, Bek, Sarah, and I ventured to the clinic once again to get our blood
tested and we are typhoid and malaria free! Please pray that we stay that way.
Also, please
continue to keep the rest of my team, as well as my squad, in your prayers as
there are several other teams on the race who have sick members.
