This past week we decided we wanted to serve our hosts and cook them dinner. We decided that we wanted to invite them on Thursday because we were planning to do a Thanksgiving meal. We were talking about how Thanksgiving was a month away, but next month we will not have an oven, and if we don’t have an oven then we can’t make pies, and you just can’t have thanksgiving without pie. So we took advantage of the fact that we have an oven this month and decided to have Thanksgiving a little early.
We also found out that this past Sunday was Thanksgiving at church! So we picked the perfect time to have our celebration.
So because of all this, I have decided to list a couple of things/reasons I am thankful for!
- My family
- Wasabi
- My friends, especially the ones that have fully supported me on this journey.
- On oven this month
- A microwave next month
- My five friends and teammates that I get to share American Thanksgiving with next month!
- Hot water for a shower
- A bed to sleep in
- Safe travels so far
- Being able to serve those around me
- A great education
- Clean clothes
- Coffee shops with wifi so I can communicate home and write blogs
These are just a few simple things I can think of off the top of my head. There are so many things I am thankful for. God has blessed me with an amazing life. He is so good and so faithful.
Thank you, Jesus.
Prayer Request:
- My team, that we continue to grow deeper and learn more about each other.
- Our sanity as we continue to live in community day in and day out, for 8.5 more months.
- Our families back home.
- The people of Bulgaria.
- Our last 2 weeks here.
- Safe travels as we prepare to leave here in two weeks and make our way to Asia for the next 3 months!
- Our squad mates that are in Greece, they have seen more than I can imagine in the last couple of weeks being there and they need a lot of peace, encouragement, and prayers right now!
Thank you so much to everyone for all your love and support.
