We are sitting in the airport in Yangon, Myanmar, ready to head to Cambodia for a couple of days. This month went by so fast but it was a great time to reflect on the past couple of months and really enjoy the opportunities the Lord has blessed us with.
We got to teach English at a small private school in Hakha, Myanmar. I taught 20 2nd, 3rd, and 4th graders. They were the sweetest and most loving kids, with such giving spirits. Everyday we would walk into the class, they would stand up, cross their arms, and say “Good morning, Miss! How are you today, Miss?” They loved giving us candy and food!
They loved playing hangman, and learning about the bible stories, they enjoyed all the hand games, and the banana song was the highlight of their day! These kids exerted so much energy which kept the teachers motivated.
With our tall guys, they provided as a personal jungle gym with the kids hanging all over them and spinning them around. We played soccer and volleyball with them. So much laughter and fun times enjoyed this month.
The Lord blessed us with so much bonding with the kids and with my team. We told so many stories, made so many memories, and watched way too many movies, but all in all, the Lord gave us an amazing month to really grow closer to each other and reflect with God.
Goodbye month 6!
