Training camp! The week i have been waiting for. This past week had tought me many situations and struggles that I may face while in the field. I Know that I was one of the selected few, that had been accepted to partake in this amazing journey. I know God is proud of me for taking a year of my life, dropping everything. He is proud that I am willing to give up my freedom, rights, and family for 11 months to help the lame, the sick, the lost, the abandoned, and the destitution of the world. The people that have been pushed aside, forgotten, throw out, used in ways that would make anyone cry! The staff at AIM where so helpful, even thou they pushed me in many ways I never thought where possible. Whatever they have had me do, I knew that it was to prepare me for ANYTHING! I was tested about how close I was really to God. I learned how much more I really need him in mylife. I Learned what baggage I can let go of from your past. I found out that there are others like me, that have had simular baggage. I embraced that it is ok to show emotion. I was able to be more confident in myself and speak out. Having a speach problem I always felt like I was going to be laughed at. I felt so happy and so at home with everyone. Not once did I get a laugh, or a chuckle. I was happy when people asked me about it.
