Qodesh- means holiness, or healing
This is the name of our team. When trying to figure out our team name, it was easy. The first night out with our team we where told to make a memorie. On our way to go get something out it was down pouring so hard. I asked my team mates to pray with me, to slow down the rain so we could get to our destination saftly. So Ruth could drive safely through the mountains. Joshua said he was praying with his eyes open and said that the minute I started to pray the rain started to slow down right away. I wouldn't have believed him until I opened my eyes myself and saw that the rain had almost stopped. After we finished up with dinner, we all decided to get ice cream. At the store there was a women who looked like she lost all help. She said that they lost their other store in April from a tornado. Joshua felt compelled to pray for her. So we all held hands and prayed for her. When leaving she said thank you, and we left. We all hoped that praying for her helped. On our way we saw that there was a car on the side of the road. At first we thought it was some world racer's but it ended up being two teenager's and a grandfather. We asked to pray over the car, and themselves. We prayed over the car, and then we put our hands over the car. Before we left we waited in the rain to see if the car would work. It car purred to life. We jumped for joy and said our goodbyes.
In one night's time we prayed to God to help stop the rain. Prayed for a women who lost all hope to live. Prayed for a car to come back to life. Maybe all the things that happened, just happened around the time we started to pray. Or that God really helped us do all those things. What ever the case is, we decided to have our team name be Qodesh, which means holiness, or healing. Our team prays that we can heal the sick, the lame, the poor, and much more.
