What does it mean to be rooted in love?
Ephesians 3:17-18
So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.
Colossians 2:7
Rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.
To be rooted in God’s love, is to love him unconditionally and trust only in him. It also means that I will always have him with me, even in the times of doubt in my mind when Satin is trying to bring me down. As long as I have God’s love rooted inside of me, I will never fail. For the Lord’s love never ends!
Kristen my team leader had a word for me, and it was to be rooted in his love. To always remember you are rooted in his love, for you are always loved by God.
When she said this, “I told her that I have wanted a tattoo of a tree rooted in a red heart, with lettering at the top saying Rooted in God’s Love, and on the bottom Forever”. For Kristen to give me a word, without ever knowing I was thinking about getting another tattoo, totally made it totally right for me to get this tattoo, which my mind was made up. I will have it done of my back on my left shoulder blade so it’s right by my heart. For I have always wanted another tattoo, but not just any tattoo. A tattoo that has special meaning to me, and will always make me remember that God will always be rooted in my heart!
