Rocks make a cornerstone stronger!

1 Peter 2:6 For it stands in Scripture; “Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a cornerstone chosen and precious, and whoever believes in him will not be put to shame”

On Monday we were asked to pick a few large rocks out of a pile. They gave us jars of paint, and asked us to paint our names and a bible verse on the rocks. They said once we finished the rocks they would go in the corner of one of the support columns. Image, we are leaving our mark inside the support system of the church, that we helped build. When we all said that we wanted to leave our mark in each country, we never would have thought actually leaving our mark!

So I picked out three rocks, from the pile. The first rock I wrote my name, and a saying (I am your hands). The second rock; I wrote Psalms 18:1-3, (I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.) The third rock I wrote, “God is Good” and left my thumb print on the other side!

After writing on the rocks, t felt so good to be leaving my mark inside a column that will on day support
