Friday we went to the A2B Daily Center which is a place we families that are very poor and have no way to feed their families. Some eat at the A2B center every day at lunch time to get a meal. For some it’s their only meal that they are able to eat. Some come from villages outside of the town of Elbasan.

This Friday which was the first of the month, is the time were the staff of A2B get parcels ready for 16 families. In each parcel you have rice, beans, sugar, salt, cooking oil, eggs, pasta, biscuit’s, apples, a chicken, salami, cheese, baking soda, soap, dish soap, laundry soap, and a great big bag of flour. Everything they get is to last them a month. When looking at the parcels that we have made, and then looking at the family’s waiting outside patiently. A thought comes into my mind, “How can this feed a family of 6 or more for a month”. Looking at it, I would think it would feed a family of that many for a week maybe more. Thinking how they have to ration what they have to last them a month is nothing but a miracle of God.

Most of these family’s would not survive if it wasn’t for the A2B daily center. The children wouldn’t have a chance to go to school without the books they get, survive without the clothes on their backs. They would have the chance to have a semi normal life. Yet, they do have a chance. They have a chance to grow and live a full life. The smiles on the faces of the people I have met while helping at this daily center, has brought me such great joy!

Not only are we feeding families, but we are also feeding hearts, because they are able focus on loving their family.
