Children are our future. We watch them grow and mature every day. Without them we wouldn’t have a future to look forward too. No laughter, no smiles, no nothing; without children there would be no life.

Today we celebrated 1 year of children’s church in Conchae, Peru. We took a 15min bus ride into the desert, where a small town called Conchae that is surrounded in sugar cane fields. We came up to a big building, and children came flooding out to greet us. They had no clue who he were but gave us big hugs and said gringo’s…lol! While the children pulled us into the building which had dirt floors, a metal roof, and more children waiting to meet us all. After all the hello’s and kisses on the cheek’s we started to decorate the place. The women who came with us gave us balloon’s to blow up to hang up, and streamer’s to decorate the place, and get ready for a party.

Lots of balloons!!!

A very cute girl!

Rikki and Jenny hanging up the balloon's.

The story of this children church is one year ago on August 21st the church that we are with decided to start a children church up in Conchae. It’s a place where children can learn about God, along with singing songs and playing games. A lot of these kids come from far away, but they don’t mind because they want to learn about God’s love. A lot of these children, like the older ones who are around the ages of 10-15 have to raise their younger siblings so for them this is a break to just be a kid.

He is so cute!

A veiw of the church and the game we were playing.

After we had a blast from singing songs, playing games, and learning about God, it was time for snack time. We had chicken salad sandwiches, coffee (yes, they gave little kids coffee… Don’t worry it was watered down) , and we had cake! A perfect end to a great day, at Conchae!

More pictures of playing games, and me with two little girls.
