So Wednesday’s are our off days. Team Qodesh, team Lamp Lighters, and two of our three squad leaders Bill and Cristy, went on some adventure today. We went to Chan Chan in the morning, which are pre- Inca ruins. Everytime there was a new king, there would be a different city. We saw the 8th city, whom belonged to the 8th king.  The ruins were ok, because for them to preserve them they had to restore almost everything so it looked pretty new, and not like ruins should look like. So it was hard to really enjoy them, but I did manage to take some pretty great photos. So even if a few of us crossing ropes that are ment for you to stay out, just to get a great picture is bound to happen…hehe!

Some decorations around the city. Yes, this is a squral

The guide said something about this being where the tax people did there work.

Yes, I climb some ruins! It was great!

Yes, I was one of those people who climb over the rope to get a picture with this guy!

The king of Chan Chan, or what he would look like.

So after Chan Chan, we went to the beach! Not just any beach but the Pacific Ocean. Ok, for some that wouldn’t be a big deal. For someone who has lived on the east coast her whole life, it’s a BIG deal. It was so much fun. To have the sand in-between my toes, and to feel the warmth from the sand was like I was back home, but ten times better. The water was also nice. A lot of people said it was cold, but for me who goes to Maine every summer was no big deal. It felt great to just sit on the beach and write in my journal, and to just have some great God time.

Having eight people in one car is a great idea. It was funny having two very tall people in the very back!

I'm very happy to be in the water!

The boats they use.

In order; Ruth, (Me), Kursti, Kristen, and Josh. The only person missing is Ben from team Qodesh

I had a wondeerful time today! Will great people, and great weather. God gave us a wonderful day.
