Being in Albania I have noticed a lot of things that have caught my attention. A few may shock you, if you have never been to European countries.

-Where the average car is a Mercedes, Audi, and a Lexus.
-The taxi's, buses, and delivery service vehicles are Mercedes Bens.
– The luxury cars in Albanian are Fords!
-The hot chocolate in Albania is the consistency of pudding, and very very good.

-The cost of a meal that feed 6 people cost $14.00 US dollars.
– 5 cups of cappuccinos and 2 espressos cost $4.50 in US dollars.
-People in Albania dress to impress, and care about what others think.
-Chocolate is so good and so rich and you can get any kind and flavor.
-The houses are old, rustic, and beautiful.

– The food is so good, like the Sulochiea (like a gyro, but better).
-People smoke everywhere in restaurants, and other public places, even though there is a law telling them not too.
-People love to walk to places, even in the cold.
-To have internet, you go to a coffee house which looks like an upscale club, where they play club music, which stays in your head even after leaving.

-Fruit trees are everywhere; lime, orange, pomegranate, fig, olive, and some fruits I have no clue what are called.
-It’s cold, and I'm glad I brought my warm jacket that my mom made me pack (thank you Mom)!
-Castles are everywhere, and I want to see one up close
– Even though people are lighter skin then in South America, we still stick out like a sore thumb!
-The language is Albanian but with some French, Italian, Greek, Slovak, and German mixed in depending who you talk too.
– The air smells clean, and there is hardly any trash on the streets, except near the trash bins (which are big metal containers every so often place on the side of the road.)
– People love the honk on their horn even when, there is no one in their way.

I have to say, a lot of these things that I have list I was very surprised about. I like Albania so far, and hope to grow more interest in this beautiful country. I also hope God will grow in me as well, for he works in many ways.
