A Little about me!!!

Hi, my name is Molly Tkacik. I am 21 years old, and I live in a little town called Coopersburg, PA. My parents, Karen and Dean, have been there for me all my life and have had a great influence on me growing up. My sister, Emily, is younger then me and looks up to me as a role model, I try and set a good example for her! I love my family and am very grateful to have them. They have always taking me to church as a child, even when I was in that stage of not wanting to go. But I love them for it everyday.

(My dad, sister, mom, and I when I graduated from high school)
As a close family we spend all holidays as a family, so that includes aunts, uncles, and cousins. It is a tradition and is lots of fun to be with family on holidays.

(My best friend since forever Jamie, and I)
In high school I was very outgoing, and still have my best friend, Jamie, from 9th grade. I went to a vocational school part-time along with high school, and was in Health Occupation classes, which gave me a jump start on my career helping people by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant at the age of 17. I have been going to Lehigh Carbon Community College for three and a half years for pre-nursing classes. I plan to finish my RN degree when I get back from the World Race in 2012.
I go to St. John’s Evangelical Church in Quakertown, Pa. I was a Sunday school teacher for 3 years in high school. I taught 1-2 year olds, and it was hard, but I was able to teach them by songs, books, and workbooks about God and his only son and about the bible. God has been a very important part of my life growing up. As I got older, I have to admit I didn’t go to church every Sunday because of work and other issues that came up that made me question God a little. I found that praying and going to church helped me out a lot. When I pray to God I feel so happy, and I feel that all the stresses that I have go away. In the past year, I have gotten closer to God, in many ways especially while praying to him to help my family and me when my aunt lost her battle with liver and lung cancer in April. I prayed to him a lot overthe summer when I was going through other personal issues of my own. He pulled me out of the dark and helped me see the light. I pray to him every day, for his love and guidance. I hope oneday, I am able to return the love God has shown me by helping other people in need.

(This past July in Northport, ME)

Let me tell you how I became a member of the July 2011 Squad. I believe God chose me to be on this race, because I was on facebook just playing around when this website popped up. It was AIM (Adventures In Missions). It could of been any website, but it was a christen website foucusing on mission trips. I looked around and came across the World Race. The more I read the more, I felt a pull to this race. Reading other racers blogs and watching video’s just kept me wanting to know more. I did my research and looked at other missions and other site’s. I kept coming to the World Race. I prayed to God for his help, to guide me to the right choice. I finally decided to apply. When I got the ok, for the interview. I was happy, and when I got the call that I was a member of the July 2011 Race, I cried. I was so happy that God chose me to go on this race.
A little bit more about me

 I LOVE GOD !!!

Reading a good book when it rains makes me feel so relaxed
I have a stuttering problem but I don’t let that affect the person I am today, God made me special for a reason.
My favorite verse is Psalm 27.1
Amazing Grace makes me cry every time
Bike riding along the Delaware River makes me feel so free!
I’d rather spend time with my family then go out partying

I am Slovak, Polish, German, Italian, Pennsylvania Dutch, and something else but we don’t know on my father’s mother’s side.
To be able to pronounce my last name you have to take out the “T” and say (kacik), but even then it’s very hard to say.
Blue is my favorite color, as you may already know!
I love pizza and pasta with chicken!
I love to swim, it makes me feel so free; any water makes me feel so good!
