Today, July 7 2016
Today’s the day I leave my comfort zone and begin training camp for the most amazing mission trip ever. I get to meet my squad mates and soon to be lifetime buds and learn more about the kingdom journey I’m very soon embarking on.
Today’s the day I postpone daydreaming about the things Gods going to do through me in Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Ethiopia, Nepal and the Philippines and focus on the hear and now.
Today on the way to the airport as my dad does his usual morning lecture I’m remind how good God is. A rush of peace passes through me as I stare at the AMAZING sunrise this morning and think to myself “God is good all the time, and all the time God is good”
Today I give up two closets and the comfort of my bed to live out of a back pack and start sleep on a sleeping pad.
Today I depend a little more on God and a little less on myself and family. Today I trust God more and am reminded of the verse Jeremiah 29:11 and all my worries start to fade away. Today I start to use my gift of restlessness.
Today in the midst of a hustling airport I listen to my favorite band ( For King and Country, give them a listen to theyre awesome) and the lyrics “Keep on charging ahead
‘Cause, when you feel it, once you see it, and you breathe it
It’s unforgettable” gives me a surge of life.
Today a new chapter of my life begins. I don’t know what this chapter will hold but it’s going to be bigger and better than anything so far.
Today I am so excited!
