Nicaragua was the country I was least excited for. But God is a funny guy and has completely blown my mind in El Cruzero, Nicaragua. I’m currently staying at House of Joy. I’m not sure how you would describe House of Joy other than my favorite place in the world. Here kids come and play everyday. My ministry this month consists of playing and loving kids. It’s the best month of my life!

During a recent team time the question arouse “Who am I and why am I here?”. That’s a pretty deep question and I didn’t know how to answer it. Why out of all the ministry places in Nicaragua was I placed at House of Joy. God, why was I chosen for this? I must of proposed this question to him a thousand times, and (im)patiently waited for an answer.

I felt like I waited forever for an answer and was prepared to have to make something up when we further discussed this question. But then God spoke. My team was on the way to Parque Wifi (a park with free wifi, it’s amazing USA needs these) we had just left House of Joy when I heard the answer.

“Molly, listen. You are a house of joy. I brought you here to see that. To realize that I’ve given you endless joy. To be a house of joy for all the nations to come. To be a safe place for children to come and play and feel loved. They need this joy. They need you so just be you, a house of pure joy.”

goosebumps

I hear you Lord, and I’m ready. I’m so grateful for my time at House of Joy and being chosen for this. Thank you God. Thank you endlessly.

I ask that you would pray for my heart to prepare to say goodbye to this amazing place and these amazing people and kids. It won’t be easy.

Endless love and joy to you all
Molly
