Teddy Roosevelt said, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.” Jesus said, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere.” (Mark 16:15) So I say, “I’m ready to go!”
In my heart of hearts I have always wanted to be a missionary, but I know that you do not have to go to a foreign country to be one. A Christian’s mission field is wherever you are. You do what you can for the kingdom of God, with the Christian knowledge you have, where you are.
In my heart of hearts I have always wanted to be a wife and a mother. As a mother I would teach my children about God’s love, and pray that they would be a light in this world for Jesus. As a wife I would encourage my husband and pray that we would be a good example of Christ’s love. It is not quite my time for a husband and kids of my own, but it is my time to encourage others, love orphans, and share the Good News to everyone, everywhere! It is my time to get out into this world and be a missionary. And that is why I am going on the World Race!
I can’t wait to see what 2014 will bring!
