We made it – Thailand, here we are!!

After three planes and twenty hours in flight, we arrived safely to Thailand! We were greeted by some January and June Racers – what a treat. Yesterday, we spent time getting to know more of what to expect from first hand experience. The power in learning from people with experience is invaluable in all walks of life, especially the mission field.

As I read, hear, and reflect, I see this same value in all the teachings from the Bible. Jesus’ life is a prime example of experience that we should be learning about AND following! I have found that as I walk through life, I need to take on the mindset of a student. I want to learn about people, cultures, and life! I want to ask the question: What can I learn from him/her? What makes him/her “tick”? Where and when do I see him/her operating in his/her full capacity? How can I arrange a place where he/she fully comes alive? Before I can answer these questions, I must get to know the person…
