So it has been a long while from when I last updated my blog, and I mean a LONG while. Between then and now I have discovered and lived through some pretty life changing things. Allow me to fill you in through the best medium I know how… A list.

1)

I went to Minnesota. Which, admittedly, sounds super random if you didn’t know that’s where I am from. I had a wonderful time seeing family, hanging with my grandma, uncles, aunts, and cousins! I also met my newest cousin and met a different cousin’s fiancé! It was such a good trip.

2)

I graduated college. Exactly four years TO THE DAY of my High School graduation I finished my very last college class, walked across the stage, and got my diploma (although not all in that order!)

3)

I moved back home to Ohio for the summer. Okay, not as glamorous or exciting as #2, but it allows me to save up my money, focus on fundraising, and (most importantly) spend some quality time with my family before I leave for the better part of a year.

4)

I spoke in my church. I made a slideshow and wrote up what I was going to say and everything! When the time came I was so much more nervous than I thought I’d be, I was even shaking. But the outpour of support from my church was staggering, I am so blessed by all the people there.

5)

I went to camp. I LOVE CAMP! The people there are so kind and Godly. The kids are sweet and willing to learn. I spent a week teaching horseback riding, working with the kids in the cabins, and helping out wherever needed. I can’t wait to go back for two more weeks this summer.

6)

I found out some BIG news. The World Race is doing something new with my route. They are making our trip into a TV show/documentary. We will have a small camera crew with us on 6 separate occasions for two-week increments over the eleven months. With this change comes a change in our countries. The new route is: Guatemala, Nicaragua, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand/Burma, India, Nepal, Botswana, and Swaziland. I know this is only 9 of the 11 countries, but the other two will be revealed to us in time. For a while I struggled with the possibility of changing squads, I wasn’t to fond of the entire idea of the cameras around when one of the main reasons for going on the race was to give to others and not make the trip about me. But God didn’t put this in my path for no reason, He has amazing plans, and who am I to argue with the Big Guy upstairs. (I will be elaborating on this very soon in a future blog post.)

I know that was a lot of information in one post, but hopefully everyone reading this was able to take it in and enjoy my journey with me! I’ll be sure to update my blog more frequently, and I thank you for all the support! I will leave you with my prayers, my well wishes, and this picture of me at the Zoo where I went recently with my Mom!

P.S. I am HALFWAY to being fully funded!!! Thank you for all the love and support! I am so touched and excited for everything still to come!
