This month my team and I are in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Malaysia is an Ask The Lord (ATL) month for us, which means we don’t have a set ministry host. Instead, everyday we pray and ask God what He was for us and who He wants us to meet. We try and live out “ministry is life, life is ministry”. For most of the month we’ve been staying at a hostel in the city center and trying to build relationships with and minister to the people working and staying here.

At the beginning of the month, we used the Couch Surfing app to find someone to stay with, and we came across an older man named Alfred. We stayed at Alfred’s home for two nights. Part of Couch Surfing is hanging out with your host and seeing their country and experiencing their culture. So Alfred invited us to come and watch him and his retired friends play table tennis. Not ping pong, table tennis. It was amazing to see the way they played with such intensity. We met Alfred’s friends Frankie and Joel as well. Alfred and Joel are Christians, but Frankie is not so Alfred invited him over both nights to spend time with us and asked us to show Frankie the love of Christ. Both nights at Alfred’s, Frankie came over with drinks and oranges and we were just able to talk with him and love him well. We also got to go out to dinner with the three men and experience an authentic Chinese meal.

Our table full of authentic Chinese food. And a lovely shot of Alfred.

More Chinese food. We had fish, bbq pork, shrimp and eggs, rice, veggies, and a soup with squid in it.

At the two authentic Chinese meals we've had, they have served us very good tea in these tiny little cups.

After dinner picture with Alfred and Joel. Throwing the peace sign is very popular here.

A selfie with Alfred the night before we left is house.

We met up with Joel and Alfred another night and had more authentic food!

We were so blessed to meet Alfred and his friends and get to do life with them for a few days. In about a week my team and I will be heading up to Bangkok, Thailand, and then two weeks after that I get to see my parents!!!!!!!!!
