I sit on my bottom bunk. My wrinkled green sleeping bag bunched at the bottom of my bed. My teammates laughing, talking, and reading on the bunks above and beside me. I sit, amazed at what I get to call my life.
My daily life here in Cape Town is simple. Yet, it’s in the simple I have learned to find My Abba the most. In the chaos of everyday life I hear His still, small voice above it all. I see Him in the landscape painted before me. I hear Him in the wind and waves.
I am currently entering into month 6 of the World Race! When I think about it, it’s kinda crazy. This whole thing is kinda crazy. The leaving of all things comfortable. The search for more of The Father. The growth that entails. The finding of Our Father. The journey, it’s just kinda crazy.
It’s a process I never would have picked for myself, but one I wouldn’t trade for anything.
This coming month Team Silver Linings will be mentoring kids in low income schools, visiting hospitals, and doing some street evangelism.
As we enter into our final month here in South Africa, please pray for divine encounters with the people we come into contact with. Pray for softened hearts. Pray for grace and love. Pray for revival.
This life I have been given is kinda crazy, and I love it.
