We had a wonderful month in Malaysia. Two teams (14 people) lived in a town house next door to the Kindergarten where we volunteered. We worked with the Kindergarten teaching every day, teaching English classes for the teachers at night, doing outreach ministry at local restaurants, planning worship and church services for our group, painting, doing yard work, and I did a photography project for the Kindergarten. We got to plan a fun Pajama day for the children this week on the last day of school before they are on holiday for two weeks. It was a great month of ministry, and growing ourselves within our new teams. Malaysia is a wonderful country full of many different cultures and people groups. Two of my teammates and I met some Somalian girls on one of our last nights and we were abe to go to their University and hangout, take a tour, eat Somalian food, dress up in traditional Somalian clothing, and attend the Somalian students BBQ. Now, we are headed to Kuala Lumpur for a four day debrief and to say goodbye to our squad leaders who have been here with us for the past 5 months. It will be a sad goodbye, but we have great new squad leaders from within our group being raised up to take over their positions. Then off to Cambodia!. My team is working in Phnom Phen at an orphanage. Yay! I will update soon. Thank you for all of the prayers and support. -MK
