“Keep your heart where your feet are standing.”
Man, these words struck a chord with me a week or so ago and I didn’t realize how true they would be for this week. Let me just tell you- leaving isn’t easy. Saying ‘see you later’ to siblings, family, friends and all you have known- it weighs heavy on the heart. The endless hugs, “I love you’s”, and prayers will truly be carried with me through this entire journey.
However, In a world that thrives on consistency and always planning ahead for what’s next it’s hard to answer questions with a “I don’t know”, or “I’m not really sure. People look at you funny and often think you are crazy. But I am learning this week at launch there is something sweet about not knowing, and fully being able to just be right where you are standing.
So with that said, here I stand- ready to go on this wild journey God has asked me to go on. While I am not sure what it all entails, I know that He is good- and that my friends, is enough.
I fly out tonight around 6pm in route to Johannesburg and will arrive sometime tomorrow afternoon. Following that we will be traveling to Cape Town to work with children at Kingdom Sports Ministry. Please pray that we have safe travels, our stuff makes it with us and that we would have the peace to fully be present where our feet are standing.
“I agree there’s an Artist that is leading and I will serve Him with my life. I’m letting go to the way He colors so profound as He paints through me this entire world around.”
