Hello World!

I thought I would share with you all the places that I’ve been this past week since I have been posting so many prayer requests for travel. I am thankful to finally be in Lima, Peru, where we get to post up for more than a day, 😉

Mon 8/3 Travel Day 1! Two bus rides: Left Banos around 7:30am and traveled to Riobamba, had a 30 minute layover, and Riobamba to Cuenca, Ecuador, arrived around 4pm. 8 hours on a bus.

Tues 8/4 Travel Day 2! Hang out in Cuenca most of the day. Leave at 7:45pm. Overnight bus – 13 hours.

Wed 8/5 Travel Day 3! On the bus until 10am. Chill at bus station in Chiclayo, Peru until 5p. Bus to Trujillo, Peru. Arrive around 9:30pm. 4 hours on the bus.

Thurs 8/6 Travel Day 4! Rest in Trujillo, Peru. Wait for Brenna & Allison to catch up to us because they stayed back 2 extra days.

Fri 8/7 Travel Day 5! Taxi ride to a contacts house. Stay the night.

Sat 8/8 Travel Day 6! Buses 5 & 6 (Trujillo to Cajamarca and the return trip) to drop Allison off w/ Kathryn. Left at 10:30am, arrived about 6:45pm (about 8 hours on the bus). 4 hours lay-over which included: meeting with Team Fenix – dinner, Youth Group service, and card games :-). Overnight bus: 10:40pm. Arrived back about 5am (another 6.5 hours on the bus).

Sun 8/9 Travel Day 7! Overnight Bus #7 at 10:15pm.

Mon 8/10 Travel Day 8! Arrived in Lima, Peru at YWAM base about 9am (10 hours on the bus).

Adding up the amount of time I have spent on the bus nearly totals about 50 hours. I probably slept for more than half of that time. I did a lot of reflecting and pondering; mainly about life and reationships and taking in the beauty that the Lord created. One pro to traveling by bus is that you get to sit there and physically see all that the Lord created. It has been a lot of travel recently, but I am loving the experience that I am gaining.

As mentioned in a previous blog, I am doing Unsung Heroes (UH) this month. I am looking forward to seeing where God leads us and who He connects us with so that we can help AIM and future missions teams.

Other places that we are prayerfully considering traveling to this month are: Pucallpa and Arequipa (also seen on the map, to the east [Pucallpa]through the mountains – 20+ hour bus ride, and extremely south [Arequipa]- another long bus ride as well). . Please pray that we can find good buses that are safe and cheap tickets 😉 and when we should go. Thanks!

Keep Lookin’ Up,
Misha
