Hello World!

I write to you today to tell you about two wonderful women of God that I have had the privilege of serrving alongside of during this journey we are on called The World Race.

The first woman is Mollie Gleason. She is very hard to describe because often times words fail me, but she has touched my life deeply. She is from Baltimore, MD. She has a Business degree and one day hopes to open up a coffee shop in Ocean City, MD. She also hopes to have the coffee imported from Central and South American countries. She is very bold and confident. She loves Jesus. She is an initiator and a natural born leader.

Mollie was part of Team Relentless and we served together for 4 months. She was the team Treasurer for Relentless and is the team Treasurer on her new team as well. She meant and still means a lot to me. We had a special relationship in the best way possible. She picked on me, she made me feel welcome, she made me laugh, she and I had great late night conversations, we watched Survivor together during our down time, she allowed me to serve her well, she cooked some for us in Honduras and catered to my pickiness when it came to food, etc. etc. The relationship just came easy and felt natural. She is very passionate about justice and has a very discerning spirit. When it came time to say “good-bye” I had a hard time parting from her.

Then, there is Carlie Smith. She is another woman of God that I have come to grow close to. I am greateful that the Lord allowed her to be on another team with me. She is from Atlanta, GA. Before the Race, she worked at a law firm as a writer who would write out clients stories when they needed to go to court. She also worked with Disney and was Elsa from Frozen. She is also a wonderful photographer. She took glamour shots of Team Relentless in Nicaragua (see my Facebook photos to see her work). She sees the small things and the things that are often overlooked.

Carlie was a part of my first team (Team Relentless) and is also a part of my current team (Team Fuente). She is one of my squads Blog Coordinators – written form. She is great! She is always quoting lines from movies. She would make a great actress. She loves the Lord. She sees beauty in all things. She and I have a few similar parts of our stories and is very relatable. She is someone whom I can talk to and makes it easy to be myself around. Along with Mollie and I, Carlie would join us for Survivor. Some days on the Race feels like Survivor ;-), Kind of joking, kind of not.

So, you may be reading this thinking to yourself: “Why would I be writing about these two women?” Well, rest assured, I shall answer that question for you. 🙂 These two women are still in need of some Financial Support in order to stay on the Race. As you may know already, I became Fully Funded while in Nicaragua. The deadline is July 1st, 2015 and we need to have the remaining balance paid for by then. Therefore, I am petitioning for you to paprtner with the Lord and them to pray for and give a financial donation if you feel led. I would be very sad, as would they, if they had to leave the Race, especially for lack of Financial Support.
Please prayerfully consider giving a donation of $10, $20, $50 to one of these woman who mean a great deal to me. Mollie only needs $385 and Carlie is in need of $1,007 to be Fully Funded. If you would like to give a Financial donation to either of them, please visit their blogs and follow the link on the left-hand side of the page:

Thanks for reading and considering how you can help make an impact for the Kingdom in South America. This journey would not be possible without the support of friends and family. May the Lord bless you and keep you, may His face shine upon you, and lead you in the way of everlasting!

Keep Lookin’ Up,
Misha
