Greetings Readers!
It’s Friday of Project SearchLight (PSL Day 4), the last full day.
You may be wondering what one might experience at PSL.
I didn’t have many expectations other than catching up with my squad mates from the Race and having some great worship. It was both of those things AND more.
There is a wealth of insight and Holy Spirit encounters continuously happening all week long. It’s not hard to sense the Spirits presence at the AIM compound.
Some of the great opportunities that you have provided are:
– one-on-ones with professionals that discuss a variety of topics, including licensed counsellors and AIM staff
– prophetic rooms
– worship, multiple times a day
– speakers who talk about things that are relevant to your life, including your next step now that you are back from the Race.
– breakout sessions
– free time to just relax and chill with your peeps
One thing that that I’d like to highlight from this week though is the following:
You are loved! That is your identity.
You were created to Embrace His love. That is your purpose.
You may not have all the answers that you are looking for, but I have learned that that is alright. You don’t need the answers, you need His Love. You need to know that you are loved. You need to have a more intimate relationship with Father God. Because, the more you know someone, the easier it is to communicate with them.
Our heavenly Father only knows how to give good gifts. His word tells us that he has a plan and a future for us. Wouldn’t it be better if we quit worrying about trying to difure things out on our own and make things happen through our own power and chase after the Father and do as we see Him do. It really isn’t that hard. It’s quite simple. You just have to die to your self and fleshly desires first and take up your cross and follow Him.
You have the power to be a world changer Because we have access to the power of our Father. How bad do you want it? Are you willing to give it all away to save the lost? If your answer isn’t yes, then you need to ask yourself why.
I’ll leave you with this Scripture found in 2 Tinothy 1:6-9a
“6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline. 8 So do not be ashamed of the testimony about our Lord or of me his prisoner. Rather, join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God. 9 He has saved us and called us to a holy life—not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace.”
