As I’m heading into my third week here in Nicaragua I thought I would share this past weeks adventures and what a day to day life looks like here. First off we are so blessed where we get to stay. We get to live next to a lake and get a gorgeous sunrise and sunset, running water, home cooked meals as well as getting the best roommates ever! All last week we worked on the school that’s on the property of the orphanage. We painted, cleaned, raked a lot a leaves as well as dug up the garden that was dead to prepare to plant a new one. Doing all these tasks seemed nearly impossible at first, but seeing the after result really paid off in the end. Through the first week of ministry I learned that we are capable as a community to do the impossible and influence those around us by the good work we do. Every Saturday we have a free day to explore, shop, or adventure. On Sunday we attend a church up the road who is currently raising money for new band equipment as a group we want to come along side and help by raising some of the money so be in prayer as we do that. This second week was filled with ministry around the orphanage such as cleaning kitchen, the floors, raking around area, cleaning ditches or some of us get to help teach English in the classrooms it’s my favorite part to help in the school and get to hangout with the kids that attend there. Overall Nicaragua is more than I could imagine and I can’t wait for the weeks ahead. Stay tuned for the cool stories to come
