World Race Training Camp is complete!
If you don’t know, Training Camp is a 10 day intense preparation experience held in Georgia. They put us through scenarios we could experience on the World Race such as sleeping in an airport, living out of your day pack if your big pack gets lost in travel, sleeping in a tent with another person, sleeping in a tent with 9 other people, hiking 3 miles with all our gear, eating with our hands, bucket showers, just to name a few! These last 10 days have been physically, emotionally and spiritually exhausting yet renewing.
Along with practical training we spent a lot of time in sessions going through personal growth, healing, and equipping. During that time the Lord began to break down walls I had built up, speaking truth to the lies and bringing me into His freedom and grace. When I feel like I don’t have it all together, He does. When I don’t feel strong enough, He is. When everything seems to be going to opposite way I had planned, He is good and His plans are better than my own.
“My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” – Isaiah 55:8
The Father is bringing me to a place of humility to be able to rely on Him for all things. I know He is faithful and able to provide all that I need.
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think…” Ephesians 3:20
Training Camp was a glimpse into what the World Race will be: UNCOMFORTABLE
And I couldn’t be more excited.
I’m ready to love like Jesus,
bring hope to the hopeless,
care for orphans and widows,
live in community through the good and the challenging,
and walk each day with the Father, knowing I can do all things through Him.
I still need about $4,000 by July 22nd in order to officially launch in August. I am completely trusting God with all of this because it seems impossible in my little head! If you would like to partner with me financially on this journey, you can click the Donate button at the top of the page! I also have 10 jars still available to “Adopt”! Check out my Facebook for more info on that.
Lastly, I would like to introduce you to my team, EmpowHer!
These are the ladies I’ll be doing the first few months of ministry with!
As we continue to prepare for launch (39 Days!!!) would you please keep us in your prayers as we begin this journey together to reach the nations for His glory.
Shout out to the Adventures in Missions staff, Serve Team, and our squad leaders, mentors and coaches who made training camp so successful! Y’all rock 🙂
That’s all for now <3
