Some basics: My sister and I are about to embark an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries across 4 continents. We’re headed to: Argentina, Bolivia, Paraguay, Chile, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Serbia, Bulgaria, Romania, Cambodia, and Thailand. The work will range from country to country in partnership with established ministries in each area. We’ll work in orphanages, build churches, minister to trafficked women, and more. Between the two of us, we need to raise a total of $36,000 by October 2017.

Between the two of us, my sister and I are working five jobs to save money for the race.

We both believe that if we put 110% of our effort towards doing God’s will, He will meet us halfway.

There is some reward in knowing we’re giving our all, but it hasn’t been easy.

One of the jobs we’re both working is waitressing at a local restaurant.

We both feel that the job is ideal in preparing us for a year of serving others around the world, but at times it can be discouraging.

At times, although you serve others with your best effort, they leave you with nothing.

That’s discouraging.

But this wasn’t one of those times.

From the moment I said “Good afternoon,” I could tell these two were special.

Something about the light in their eyes made me want to give them the best evening possible.

After they’d paid the check, the woman looked at me and said with a very serious tone, “Your Father loves you very much.”

I knew just who she meant.

She and her husband left me $130 tip.

Today, I’m praying God blesses them and every single person that partners with us on this journey.

If you’d like to talk with us about partnership, or if you know someone who might be interested, please send me an email at [email protected].
