3 months and 11 days until launch! That’s right, we are still planning on launching September 1st!
If we are not able to travel internationally at that point the Adventures in Missions team has constructed a back up plan. We will spend the first few months at the headquarters in Gainesville, Georgia training to be a missionary. We will grow our intimacy with God and dive deep into how to live missionally. I am so happy that they have figured out a way around this pandemic where we can still worship and grow our relationship with God together.
Once the pandemic is stabilized enough for us to travel, the hope will be to fly out to the field first thing in January. By waiting these few extra months it will give the world more time to reopen while also giving us an amazing opportunity to prepare extensively for our overseas mission experience.
With that being said I wanted to thank everyone who has supported me financially and through prayers! I have raised almost ten thousand dollars! That is absolutely crazy! That means I am over 60% funded! I am so incredibly grateful and excited that you all have joined me in this next amazing journey the Lord has laid out for me. I hope you will continue to follow along on my adventure to see some of the wonderful ways God is working in this beautiful world.
Along with the initial amount of money I need for travel, food and shelter I am also collecting supplies such as a tent, sleeping bag, backpack and much more. All of this goes into a 50 pound pack as we cannot count on Mail or packages. I have created an amazon list to keep me organized.
