This holiday weekend I had a yard sale to help raise funds. I wasn't sure how well the turn out was going to be but I prayed for God to bless it and asked others to pray for the same thing.
And He really did bless it! I made $90 from both of the days that I was out. I sold some larger items that I wasn't sure were going to sell at all!
Towards the end of the second day that I was out, I saw a storm coming. For awhile it looked like it was going to stay by the mountains across from me. Then the thunder started to get louder!
My mom and I hurried and packed everything into our cars. As soon as we were done getting everything in the house it started pouring! God held the storm back until we could get everything safely in the house. Not a thing got a drop of rain on it!
Another racer on my team mentioned having a "tip" jar where people can donate any amount they like even if they didn't see anything they would like to buy. I'm going to try this again next Sunday and create a banner mentioning the race that people can see from the road.I'm going to try having a little bake sale with the yard sale next week too.
I know that if we ask for God's blessing on anything we do for Him, that He will bless it!
On another note, my deadline for $3,500 is coming up on Sept. 29th! Time has gone by so fast and I just want to thank everyone who has donated! And I know that God will provide the rest of the funds that I need!
Remember that everything I do on the World Race will be on your behalf because you supported me on the mission God has called me on!
