Hey all! I’m in El Salvador now! I can’t believe that it’s already month three! So much has happened that I feel like I’ve been slacking off on blogging. But here’s what we’ve been doing here so far.

The first two days here we were partnered to work with a ministry called Love Link. Love Link is a clinic where they treat malnourished babies. Many of the children that are brought here are because the parent’s cannot afford to feed them or they do not know how to take care of them. The parents are allowed to see their babies and will get them back when the babies are healthy. They also receive training on how to feed the kids.

Our jobs those couple of days were to help the nurses take care of the kids. Each child that we were with had their own story and personality.

My team and I were able to pray for some of the parents when they came to visit the babies. You could see the joy on their face when we asked them if we could pray for them. Some of the mothers joined us in praying for their children. Even though I couldn’t understand what they were saying I knew that there was so much love behind their prayers.

While we were watching them one of the babies began to fuss. Christina would try to hold her, but every time she’d put her back down Liz would cry again. So Christina and I began to sing to Liz. We sang Jesus Loves me and Liz immediately stopped crying and you could just feel peace enter the room! It was so amazing! I had never felt God’s presence like that before! There was so much comfort in that room after we sang.

God showed me that He really does care about each one of us and that He doesn’t like it when we aren’t feeling well. He is always close by and there when we need Him.
