This past week I’ve been doing more processing about camp. I remembered the words that God had others speak over me and was convicted about not showing my emotions. Friday night (November 1st) God led me to read 2 Timothy, specifically chapter 1:6-14.
It was like Paul was writing to me and telling me everything that I have been thinking about over the past few weeks! It was amazing! I’ve never had anything like that happen to me before. Sure I’ve had verses speak to me but nothing like this. It was like receiving a letter from Paul in the mail!
Some of the parts that God had really speak to me were, verse 6 where it says that we should remember to fan into flame the Gift of God and the end of verse 12, where Paul writes that Jesus will guard what has been entrusted to him. Those two verses reminded me of the squad member who told me that I have been entrusted with something. I don’t need to be afraid of not being good enough for whatever that is because Jesus is guarding it, He is more than enough! He will protect what has been entrusted to me! we just need to remember that Jesus has “called us to a holy calling, not because of our works but because of his own purpose and grace” (2 Timothy 1:9) His grace is enough, His grace makes us worthy of being entrusted , His grace makes us clean!
“You then, my child, be strengthened by grace that is in Christ Jesus”
2 Timothy 2:1
Sorry it has taken me so long to write this post. I have been in the hospital all week with my dad. He has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Luckily it is the slow growing one, but the doctors aren’t sure if it has moved into his lymph nodes yet. If you all could pray for him that would be awesome!
On a happier note, Monday is World Race day! If you could consider donating $11 on this day that would be amazing! That means you would be giving $1 for every country that I will be going to! And you will be helping so many people in need around the world!
I am also having a pancake breakfast on Sunday, November 17th through the women’s ministry at my church. Could you all pray that God will bless it?
Thank you all who have donated and for your prayers!
