I can’t believe that I’m half way through the race! This month is half way over too! Where has the time gone?
This month we’re in Zambia doing evangelism and teaching at a school.
The evangelism is a little hard for me because I have never done anything like that before. Its a really nice way to get to know the community around you and share what Jesus has done for you and them. Its amazing how welcoming people are here. They’re always offering you a seat and willing to hear what you have to say.

The school we are teaching at is ran by the church we’re working with. Many of the kids are orphans because their parents died from AIDS. Now an older relative takes care of them, even if they can’t afford it. Sometimes the only meal they get is the one the school provides for them.
Even after knowing all of this you wouldn’t be able to tell. They’re so full of joy and energy. They are willing to sing every song you teach them and listen to a bible story ( even if its one they’ve heard before). We always go home exhausted from all the games they want to play, but our hearts are full of the smiles they give us.

The teachers tell us that throughout the week they talk about us and can’t wait until we see them again next week. Its going to be hard to leave them at the end of the month.
The school is also in need of some funding. They’re in need of supplies and some repairs.

I wanted to give another big thank you to the people who have made it possible for me to go this far on the race. There’s only one deadline left to meet! By July 1st I need to have the full $16,000 in my account. I know that God is going to provide the $4,000 I have left to raise. Thanks again for your prayers and support!
