It’s month 11!! Our final month of the race.
I’m in Malaysia now. This month my team and I are working with special needs adults. We help them with daily tasks and build relationships with them and the staff. We also work with them in the kitchen or assembly line type jobs. It’s a very challenging job. Our hours are long and the work is draining but we all know that it’s worth it.
Malaysia is a beautiful country. The city we’re in this month is very much like the ones in America. The only difference is that there’s jungle surrounding us and the tall buildings look like they grew up out of that jungle.
Now there’s only 2 weeks left of the race!
I’m not sure how I feel about knowing that it will be coming to an end. The race has become normal life and C-squad is my family.
It’s going to be hard to say goodbye but I’m also excited to see what God has planned for our lives now.
Its also stressful knowing that when I go home I’ll have responsibilities again. I’ll have bills to pay and a cat to take care of. I’m going to have to find a job as soon as I get home just so I can make the December payment on my car. Time to get back to the real world!
At the same time its exciting. I get to see my family again! I get to wear clothes that aren’t the same 4 outfits I’ve been wearing all year. I get to go places by myself and drive my car! And I get to see how much the race has really changed me and how I can use what I’ve learned this year back home.
With that said I’d like to give my 2 weeks notice. It’s been a good year and I’ve learned so much.
Now off to new adventure.
I only have $500 left to raise until I’m fully funded! So much has been provided throughout this year and I can’t thank you all enough.
Let’s get that bar up too filled with green before the 2 weeks are over! Every bit helps even $5. 🙂
